What is National Honor Society?
Established in 1921, the National Honor Society was founded upon four pillars: service, character, scholarship, and citizenship. The Ardrey Kell Chapter of NHS consists of juniors and seniors who meet the minimum service, character, and GPA requirements, being selected by a panel of teachers. Applicants must apply in the spring of their junior year or the fall of their senior year. NHS is the best of the best at Ardrey Kell; members are inducted after taking a pledge by tradition in front of the principal, family, friends, teachers, officers, and current members. All members are expected to read the bylaws of the society, linked here.
